As a native of West Texas, Jim exemplifies many of the qualities associated to that part of the country: honesty, integrity, and loyalty. After playing basketball for Texas Tech and receiving his degree in engineering, Jim started his career in the electrical industry on the management fast-track with General Electric Supply. He quickly rose through the ranks at GE until a promotion would have forced him to move his family from their home in Fort Worth, and at that time he decided to leave the world of corporate supply and start his own lighting agency. Jim Weathers founded Texas Lighting in 1987 at the beginning of the era of brand consolidation in North America. By brokering deals with several strategic partners in manufacturing, he quickly established a name for Texas Lighting in North Texas as a small, emerging agency with a lot of horsepower. The company grew steadily to become the largest agency in the territory. Jim is the General Manager of Texas Lighting and oversees all operations and personnel within the company.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren who live in the Fort Worth region, spending time outdoors and returning to West Texas to root for the Texas Tech football and basketball teams every season.

With over 20 years of experience, Mark became a principal and managing partner in 2016. Mark manages all distributor and contractor business as well as the quotes department. He joined Texas Lighting immediately after graduating from Texas Tech University in 1997. His newly created position required him to establish connections with strategic electrical contractors and develop long-term partnerships with them to help streamline large lighting projects. Prior to his hire, the company had primarily focused on calling on the specification and distribution community without directly assigning electrical contractor accounts. Mark quickly made a name for himself in the Dallas/Fort Worth market as a trusted advisor and consultant. He consistently strives for complete satisfaction from everyone involved, including the end user.
Mark is a family man with a wife and four young children who keep him on the move. When not attending their sporting or school activities, he enjoys spending his time outdoors. He is an avid hunter and part-time rancher and farmer.

Aaron began his career at Texas Lighting as part of a new training program with a specialization in an emerging market technology. After graduating from Texas Tech in 2003 he joined the team in the Lubbock office covering the West Texas market with the specific focus on lighting controls technologies. Before electrical codes required all commercial buildings to have lighting controls, Texas Lighting assembled a team to educate the market on this growing trend. He cut his teeth by calling on the specification community to develop and design lighting systems ranging from simple room controls to campus-wide solutions. Shortly after relocating to the DFW office, Aaron assumed the role as the Controls Team Manager with a team of eight individuals focusing on lighting controls and automated shades for both the commercial and residential markets. After 14 years with the company, Aaron became a principal and managing partner. He is responsible for managing the team calling on architects, engineers, and lighting designers as well as overseeing the Controls Team.
When not at work, Aaron enjoys many outdoor sports, including cycling with his wife, as well as running and triathlons. With two active young boys, he participates in many of their sporting activities and looks forward to their annual family snowboarding and camping trips.
